Dalia Lider was born in Warsaw in 1938.
She immigrated to Israel in 1953 at age 15 and settled in Kibbutz Nir-Am. After her marriage she moved to Kibbutz Givat Haim (Ihud), where she worked in the sewing shop for five years. In 1978 she left the kibbutz and became Batsheva’s sewing shop manager and costume designer for some fifteen years.
Lider designed costumes for the following Batsheva Company dances: Flock (1994), Yag, The Rogue Tool (1996), Hamsin 98 (1998), And when the Rooster Crowed the Green Bride Floated through the Village Square, The Rest (2000), Ink (2002), Love (2003), Quiet Village (2004), HOUSE (2012). She designed costumes for the following Batsheva Ensemble dances: Cavalcade, Versus (1994), Pandora’s Garage (1995), Yossi the Grounded Angel (1996), Prelude, Hundred Moves (1997), Tremolo Tremolo! (1998), A Way (2004), Part II (2005).
Lider currently lives in Tel Aviv.
