Danny Redler was born in 1945 in Ramat Gan.
Born and raised in Ramat Gan.
Redler began designing lighting for theater a year before enlisting in the IDF. After his discharge, he began working in Steinitz Lirad Lighting Engineering, the first Israeli stage lighting company. In 1965, he began working as a lighting technician in Batsheva, and continued working for the company until 1981.
In 1969, Redler founded Danor and later also Compulite, a company producing and exporting light control computers. In 1992, he published Stage Lighting in Hebrew, and the book was published in English in 2005. In 2003, he established the Lighting Museum in Hod HaSharon.
Since 2009, Redler has been concentrating on his writing career, and published two novels and a play.
