Born in Jamaica.
He studied in the London Contemporary Dance School (“The Place”). In 1972, he joined Batsheva. During his years with his company, he danced in the following works: Fun & Fancy, Three Out of Me, and Lyric Episodes (1972); Corners (1973); Dream (1974); The Burning Ground and Games We Play (1975); and Poems of Ecstasy (1976). In 1975, he portrayed Death in The Green Table staged for Batsheva by Anna Markard, daughter of the choreographer Kurt Jooss. In 1977, Linton left Batsheva to teach dance in Sweden and Switzerland.
