Maya Botzer Simhon was born in 2000 in Israel. Graduation from the Thelma Yellin High-School of Arts with a concentration in dance. During 2016-2019, Maya took part in the Batsheva Program for Outstanding Dance Students and in Batsheva’s summer courses, and in 2018-2020 participated in the “Workshop” directed by Ya’ara Mozes and Yarden Raz. In 2019-2020, Maya worked with the choreographer Shlomi Bitton.
Joined The Batsheva Ensemble as an apprentice in 2020 and as a Dancer in 2021 until 2023. Since then, she has worked as a freelance dancer with various choreographers, including Shahar Binyamini, and currently works internationally as his assistant and stager. Alongside her performing career, Maya teaches Gaga, creates choreographic work, and coaches performing artists.
