Tzlila Goldstein was born in 1943 in Israel.
She studied physical education at the Wingate Institute and danced in Yonatan Karmon’s company in Tel Aviv. In 1965-69 she relocated to the US with her partner, and studied modern dance in Martha Graham’s studio in New York.
Upon her return to Israel, she was admitted to Batsheva where she danced for about two years until 1971. She performed with the company in Curtains, Moves (1969); Ein Dor, Percussion Concerto (1970), Caprichos, Pace & Step Together (1971).
After leaving Batsheva, Goldstein joined the Israeli Ballet for a short period. Afterwards, she moved back to the US and established a dance company which was active from 1981 to 1991.
Goldstein has a diploma in dance teaching from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
